Blah....

It's rainy and ugly and I don't feel like being productive. The weather has been beautiful for two months and we got spoiled. Today it's drizzling and the high is 54 and we're all complaining about how cold it is. :) Gotta love South Texas.

Yeah, so um, potty training sucks

Just thought I'd share that. Four hours = five pairs of underwear. I gave up before lunch. :(

On a brighter note, Kaylee did really well at basketball practice last night. She mostly ran the right direction, and only had one head-on collision. Yay! We'll work on shooting later, lol.

When we got home, Troy says "Okay, now let me tell you what happened (those words never precede anything good). Brayden was playing with a bouncy ball, and the cat was chasing it, and I was letting him wear himself out before bed (so far, so good). And he bounced it between the end table and the chair, and bent over to pick it up (okay) and somehow got his head wedged in there. I didn't realize what had happened until he started to fuss a little, and I said 'did you drop your ball, Buddy?' And Brayden starts bawling, yelling 'thtuck, thtuck!' And I jumped up and realized that he was really stuck. And it took me a few seconds to figure out how he was wedged in there, and get him out. And he laid in my lap and bawled, "thtuck, thtuck" for a few minutes, and then he ran to the garage yelling 'Mommyyyyy, thtuck, mommyyyy!' It took half an hour to get him calm enough for bed."

how heart-breaking is that. My poor little guy. :(

Okay, off to feed the boy.

New Year, New Blog

Okay, Katrina inspired me. So I'm updating the blog. It sounds more appealing than potty training... and that's the goal this week, so yeah. Brayden's being seriously stubborn about the whole thing. He likes to talk about the potty, he likes to read about the potty, he even likes to supervise everyone else's potty efforts and wave bye bye to the "pee-pees." But if you try to get him to go on the potty, he lets out a defiant "No!" in his highest pitch and runs to the opposite corner of the house and throws himself on the floor. Oy! I've tried bribes, begging and even resorted to threats for a minute before I decided that we'd revisit potty training after the holidays, haha. So here we are. Anybody want to come potty train him for me?

Anyway, I'm going to try to update at least once a week. We'll see how long that lasts. :)
